Of course we all need to support our NFB Braille initiatives.  However, the
National Braille Press, seedlings and Michigan Braille Transcribers are also
very positive and important providers of Braille.  I hope that everyone
evluates your priorities and supports something along with the NFB Braille
programs.

Keeping braille literacy alive.  How important is it?  

It is important to National Braille Press because we believe in the power of
braille.  We strive to keep braille alive so that future generations of
blind and visually impaired children and adults will be truly literate.
Braille is the only medium through which blind individuals can learn to read
and write.  Audio readers simply cannot offer the same skill set.
