The following information is forwarded to you by the DBTAC-Great Lakes ADA Center (www.adagreatlakes.org) for your information:

 

The Michigan ADA Steering Committee, the Great Lakes ADA Center and Michigan Protection & Advocacy Service are sponsoring a conference on the new legislation and regulations affecting the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on September 7 & 8, 2011, in East Lansing. 

 

Sessions featuring Jeanne Goldberg of the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC), Robin Jones of the Great Lakes ADA Center and Dave Yanchulis of the U.S. Access Board will look at the effect of the ADA Amendments Act on employment, state and local government, public accommodations and new construction and alterations.

 

Attendees may register for individual sessions or the entire conference.  General registration includes all materials and refreshment breaks, as well as lunch for those who register for a full day.  Continuing Education Units (CEU) are available.  Registration is free for people with disabilities.
