Hi J.J. and All,

It only goes to the issue of form over substance. I was simply being a bit
tongue in cheek about the Braille item. But, whether or not a resume is
"pretty" or "visually appealing" cannot cover for bad content.

I mean MCB puts out pretty online publications from time to time like its
annual report and its Insight Magazine. But, they are full of half truths at
best if there is any meaningful content to them at all.
I have other anecdotes to share in the future.

But, this debate isn't one worth going into any further in my ming though I
think all would agree that it is critical for blind folks in today's market
place to be very well educated and equipped to meet technology challenges of
the 21st Century if we are to garner meaningful employment in almost any
realm.

I also think it is a sort of continuing educational need for those of us who
are older, but still wishing to be competively employed and/or even to live
independently with a certain ammount of success.

This is why getting MCB back on the right path, as it is the "funder" and
provider of VR programs along with IL programs here is so important.

This is also why they must understand and implement what the Rehab Act
requires when it relates to what the Rehab Act calls "Rehabalitive
Technology" or what we call assistive technology. That does also include
"services" which is to say "training".

But they don't meet these critical obligations for the most part. In fact as
we've seen it is pretty difficult for many to even get into the system
anymore or to even get a return phone call.

Joe
