        Dear Colleagues,



        It is a pleasure to announce that MCB has selected Elsie Duell to serve as the Commission’s new Administrative Services Manager.  Elsie is currently the Manager of the AWARE Support & Technology Section at Michigan Rehabilitation Services and will bring an impressive array of experiences and expertise with her as she joins the Commission on Monday, March 7. 

         

        I want to express my sincere and deep appreciation to Constance Zanger and James Hull for their extra efforts the past several months in their roles as Acting Administrative Services Manager and Acting BEP Manager, respectively.  The hard work and dedication of Connie and James during this interim period has been most helpful and I am grateful to both of them for their extra service.  James will return to his role as Assistant Business Enterprise Program Manager on March 7, as Connie returns to her role as BEP Manager.  As we established last summer, the BEP Manager will continue to report to the agency director. 

         

        For those of you who may not know Elsie Duell you will be interested in learning that her service in State government began 30 years ago with the Department of Labor and the Michigan Employment Security Commission (MESC) in Detroit .  After leaving MESC, she spent the next 15 years at the Secretary of State in positions ranging from systems analyst to training coordinator.  Elsie has a Bachelors Degree in Business and has spent the last 10 years of her career with DELEG as a manager at MRS overseeing the AWARE Case management system, AWARE training & help desk, technology, network security, federal reporting, budgeting, social security reimbursement and customer service desk functions. 

         

        Elsie is looking forward to joining MCB and her new responsibilities and I know that each of you will be helpful to her as she settles into her new role.  Please join me in welcoming Elsie Duell to the Commission family as well as expressing appreciation to Connie and James for their extra help during this interim period.
