Sentencing date set in robbery

 

A Clinton Township man accused of beating a blind Mt. Clemens man and stealing $600 from him is to be sentenced Jan. 31 in Macomb County Circuit Court.

 

David A. Anderson, 23, pleaded no contest Dec. 13 to unarmed robbery and aggravated assault, according to court records.

 

Anderson and his brother, then 16, were accused of hitting Daniel Perron, then 50, with his cane Aug. 2 in Mt. Clemens and robbing him just after Perron

cashed his disability check. Local groups gave Perron $600 to replace the stolen money.

 

Anderson's brother pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery in juvenile court, Sheriff Tony Wickersham said.
