Position Openingâ?"Director, Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center
(CCRC) in Austin, TX

I want to let everyone know that Mr. Ed Kunz, who has been
Director of our Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center since 1992, has
given notice that he is resigning his position to pursue some
family obligations. While we are sad to see Ed leave the
position, I am pleased to announce that we were able to secure
approval to recruit and hire for this critical position.

The Director, Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center is responsible
for the staffing and operation of this 24/7 rehabilitation
training facility serving Texans who are blind. The Center
currently has 110 FTEs and is part of the Department of
Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, Division for Blind
Servicesâ?T vocational rehabilitation program. Located in the
heart of Austin, Texas, the Center is convenient to consumers
from across the state because of its central location. The city
of Austin, known as the â?olive music capital of the world,â?
boasts a growing economy and is one of the premier places to
live in the nation.

Interested applicants must have a Bachelorâ?Ts degree in
rehabilitation or appropriate field, supplemented by a minimum
of eight (8) years progressively responsible experience in
vocational rehabilitation, preferably with experience in a
residential training facility for people who are blind, two (2)
years of which must be acquired in a supervisory/management
capacity; Masterâ?Ts degree may substitute for two
 (2)
years of required VR experience. Salary range for the position
is $67,380 to $101,460, depending on qualifications and
experience.

If you or someone you know is interested in being considered for
this employment opportunity, weâ?Td love to hear from you.
Iâ?Tm enclosing a copy of the position announcement with the
details about the opening.
