During his address on September 7, 2011 at the ADA Steering committee meeting at the Kellog Center Pat Cannon highly praised the program in the attached news release. Note that this is held on State property (MSU) and includes the shooting sports including air rifles. This is very ironic, but so was the rest of his address.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - New equipment that can help people with disabilities ski, bicycle, hunt and ride all-terrain vehicles will be on display during a

special state-sponsored event in Lansing.

 

The Accessibility Demo Day at Demmer Center will take place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

 

It will offer the public the chance to try out the latest advances in adaptive recreation equipment, including ski equipment and ATVs.

 

Free shooting clinics will take place for crossbows and air pellet guns.

 

The event is being hosted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the Accessibility Advisory Council, the state Department of Military and Veterans

Affairs, Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Brain Injury Association of Michigan.
