[nfbmi-talk] even worse for blind

Hi Phyllis,

Wouldn't it be better to have decent jobs so we can do those things,
ourselves? We need to fight for quality rehabilitation services which are
effective at getting blind people good jobs. For my part, though I believe
there ought to be a good safety net, I do not want free services from cab
companies or to wait around for someone to get my groceries for me. These
are things we can do for ourselves if we have good training and good jobs.

Warmest Regards,

Fred

Many live in poverty, can not afford transportation, daily living aid
products, and assistance shopping for food and clothing. We need to have
stores take telephone orders for food so a friend can pay and pick up the
food fast and easy. Cabs should offer a few hours a week to help us get
around. Old items like the CCTV when no longer applicable to the owner,
should be donated. You get the idea.
