This email is in response to your July 25, 2012, email request for copies of public records, received on July 26, 2012, in this office.  Please be informed that the Department's Michigan Commission for the Blind (MCB) is processing this request under the state's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), MCL 15.231 et seq.

 

You have requested information as described in your email as:  "request any and all records that would identify any payments from Michigan Commission for the Blind accounts for any legal services rendered by Assistant Attorney General Thomas Warren during the last fiscal year and to this date."  A copy of your email is also included below.

 

Your request is granted as to existing, nonexempt records in the possession of this department responsive to your request.  Attached to this email are billings paid by MCB for legal services rendered by Mr. Thomas Warren with the Office of the Attorney General for MCB covering the time period you requested.

Dear Mr. Cannon,

 

I'm writing you today to request any and all records that would identify any payments from Michigan Commission for the Blind accounts for any legal services rendered by Assistant Attorney General Thomas Warren during the last fiscal year and to this date.

 

In addition as a blind person I'm requesting them all in accessible format with no, and I repeat no surcharge for making them so, as the ADA specifically prohibits that (Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II, subparte, communications).

 

To: wit make all requested documents Word documents and/or plain text enclosures to my e-mail address listed above.

The public has the right to know how our Vocational Rehabilitation funds are being used.

 

I expect timely response and timely delivery of these requested documents.
