There is no voicemail set up on the number I gave, it is in pure message 
mode.  At least one person says that he reached Canon regularly at this 
number.  Clearly, Mr. Canon gave that number to a few high-and-mighties and 
wants to be permanently in the loop and by any means necessary.

That number is the number Ed Rodgers had at his former neighborhood at the
gated community of MAHS Heights, and is the MAHS Heights main switchboard
number.
