How long have y'all left the Senate? Whatever happened to the fledgling
Downriver chapter?

Subject: [nfbmi-talk] New meeting location for Western Wayne Count Chapter
Just letting everyone know that the Western Wayne County Chapter starting
with the June meeting, will be meeting at Charlie's Family Dinning 1817 Dix
Highway in Lincoln Park. Since we had to leave the Senate Coney Island, we
have strugle with finding a stable pace to hold our chapter meetings. The
Good Times Cafe has not work out because it really is a self-service
establishment and there is no free parking. Will are not going to be able to
find a restaurant in Dearborn with a separate room for us to use. For now,
this is the best we can do. In the meattime I have asked that anyone who has
the time who wants to take it upon the'mvs and look for a place. However,
with the all of the service cuts with DDOT Metro Lift cannot serve that deep
into Dearborn. They must follow the 3/4 mile limil as does SMARTS ADA
service. Those persons who use Metro Lift will have to call Metro Lift to
schedule and Metro Lift will have to get SMART on the line to corrdinate the
trip. The transfer moint in Lincoln Park will be the McDonalds at: 1469 Fort
Street. If you aren't registered to ride with SMART, I suggest that you call
Michael Patton SMARTS ADA Corrdinator and explain the situation about the
meeting location and get it set up with him. Should you have questions, feel
free to call me at home: (734) 281-8025 and I will be more than happy to
assist you with this process. We have a few people the are sighted and I
think some of them might be happy to help with transportation as long as you
help out with the gas. Larry Posont said that he could take some in his
vehicle from Dearborn.
