Hello. The below is important to improving our transportation system in Michigan. Comments are being accepted through today on the 20 year masterplan for the Chicago to Detroit Amtrak corridor. A portion of the other Amtrak routes in Michigan also use part of tthis corridor.

If you wish to submit comments, the info is below.

Personally, I will be talking about the need for more frequencies, connections to Detroit Metro airport, and early morning and late evening trains to Detroit and Chicago.
Would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Two reminders:

The comment period for the Chicago - Detroit Purpose and Need statement ends today.

We are working to persuade them to consider how this project will suppport the needs of 220-mph high-speed trains.  Currently, they do not envision high-speed trains operating in this corridor in the next twenty years.

Typically, few comments are received during this early stage of the planning process, so your comment will definitely have an impact.
