[nfbmi-talk] How to Get to that Training Center call notes!

During the last hour on Monday we would gather in one of the big rooms and
we would talk with Christine about various topics having to do with
blindness and sometimes some housekeeping issues too.

What is "Seminar" in this sentence?

Yes Christine, I was the best student ever! It all went downhill after I
left!

But seriously though,, don't sell yourself short. You and the staff of the
then MCBTC did great work.

A few weeks ago in the Blind Talk Mailing list there was a big discussion
about whether NFB training centers are better than other training centers.
Even though I never heard anyone utter the phrase "structured discovery" in
Kalamazoo I can say that we were always encouraged to go out of our comfort
zones and to not just follow preprogrammed routs all the time. After school
hours and on weekends I did many routes that I had not done before and I
always managed to come "home" in one piece.

Now I understand why you were always talking about blindfold training in
seminar. Even though I did some blindfold training I regret not doing more
of it.

Daniel

You are quite right Daniel. I am pleased that you are happy with the
training you received, but then I can confidently state that I have never
known a student who worked harder than you did to achieve that success:) I
know in my heart, that you could fly even higher if you had the opportunity
to attend an NFB training Center, simply because they have the means to
enable you to achieve even greater things, and because you have the
intelligence, the will, the strength and the determination to be all that
you can be!

Warmly,
Christine
!
