Terri needs to relocate to the Kalamazoo out-of-state employment waiting
room, as is demonstrated by the number of blind persons who have obtained
out-of-state employment from Kalamazoo. There must be something magical
about Kalamazoo, other than the state training center.

Curiously, and not surprisingly, Kalamazoo comes from the Native American
Ojibwa or Odawa tribe roots, with The name "Kalamazoo" having a long and
conflicting meaning history. Depending on the translation, it means
"boiling
pot," "mirage," "reflecting river," or "troubled by smoke."

Now to relate this to this list and blindness and blind persons in Michigan,
here is my summary of the many meanings, and the magic of "Kalamazoo" for
blind persons seeking to live independent, fulfilling lives through
meaningful and rewarding employment, by going to the Kalamazoo out-of-state
employment waiting room:

Kalamazoo is special to blind persons of Michigan seeking employment because
those blind persons are tired and frustrated by the "boiling
pot" of poor services from an agency charged and funded to assist blind
persons to achieve employment, but miserably fails to do much more than
spend the funds on something other than getting blind persons meaningful
jobs, and Michigan blind persons only see a "mirage" of employment
opportunity when attempting services and employment placement assistance
from the agency allegedly serving the employment desire and need of Michigan
blind citizens, and after a "reflecting river" of frustration, roadblocks,
unanswered contacts, run-arounds, delays and denials; those blind persons
seriously desiring an independent, full and rewarding life through
employment, upon reflection, and are "troubled by smoke" being blown in
their face by an agency that only promotes WORK-TO-WELFARE for blind
persons, those blind individuals leave the state of Michigan for
out-of-state employment, that fulfills dreams and is highly rewarding, and
where blind persons are recognized and appreciated for their skills,
talents, and abilities, rather than their dis-abilities!

As the late Paul Harvey would say, "Now, you know the rest of the story", as
to the why and how Kalamazoo is so magical for blind persons in Kalamazoo
seriously desiring employment, that is appreciated by those dedicated to
making life brighter for the blind.

I wish to add something new here. Really I do. And I don't wish to appear
to be a negative gorrilla in the roam either.

But here Terri has shown proven proficiency in a subject that is dear to all

of us and as a blind person.

But, I must ask this question in this state of disarray and utter
discrimination: "What are the prospects of Terri using this valuable
credential in actually making a living here in Michigan?

The answer is: "Zip, nada, nothing."

That is certainly not the fault of Terri, but we must all understand it is
the fault of a corrupted apparatchek that wishes to tatake federal funds
dedicated for purposes for the blind, then like a bunch of casino gamblers
mixed with mafioso sorts contrive to skim most of those funds of for other
purposes than intended.

This is precisely what Terry Eagle and I call simply "misappropriations" of
federal funds over and over again.

Sadly in spite of expertise trully demonstrated neither Terri or Nick will
ever make a living in this state under the current corrupted regime in all
of its incarnations and, indeed in most states doing what they have
demonstrated to do well.

I, personally am on the record in congratulating both for accomplishments.
And I am sincere in that too. Really.

But, my lord there is ample and documented evidence that this state uses and

abuses any person who is blind from the humble and unknowing
petitioner/basic newly blind customer to the most prolifict.
