INTRODUCTION

Position is located at Oklahoma School for the Blind-Muskogee.

Essential Functions:  This position is responsible for handling the
preparation,

cooking and serving food for students on regular, modified and special
diets.  Duties

include maintaining clean and sanitary work in the preparation and serving
areas;

using tools such as knives, slicers, peelers; as well as equipment such as
ovens,

steamers, hot and cold food bar, and dishwashers.  Additional duties include
removing

refuse from the kitchen area; sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the kitchen,
dining

and storage areas; busing dining room tables; label, load and deliver food
carts

or trays and picks up after use; defrosts and cleans refrigerators, walk-in
coolers,

milk coolers as well as related equipment.    Probationary period (or trial
period

if applicable) is required.

Background Check:  Effective January 1, 2012, the successful candidates for
positions

at the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services will be required to
pass an

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation criminal investigation and background
check.

Education and Experience Requirements:  Level I - None required.
