MPVI is the Michigan Parents of Children with Visual Impairments.
www.mpvi.org

I am the current president. I have a 13 year old son who is blind. We are members of the Ann Arbor NFB chapter.

Many MPVI families are also NFB members. And many of the experts we ask to work our events are NFB members also.

Larry, thanks for the info about Braille Music from the Library. We encourage people to check the Library first but the music being used in school is usually very specific and usually not available from the library. Always a challenge.

The family lives in the Grand Rapids area, about fifty miles from me. If any of you know someone who could help or you are that someone, please contact me off list for more details. The mother says they are already running into trouble with the so-called experts who have low expectations and discourage Braille. I am going to try to round up as many contacts as possible and am encouraging the family to attend the state and national conventions. She knows about the NFB and has the right attitude and determination. Thanks in advance.
