[nfbmi-talk] cic meetings???

To the best of my knowledge, all meaningful blind consumer involvement and
input, especially the CIC, went out of style when we moved to Mr. Rodgers
neighborhood, where input and knowledge of blindness, rehabilitation,
business expertise for BEP, and anything blindness related is neither
desirable or encouraged, nor wanted in Mr. Rodgers neighborhood of near
blindness.

In fact, were it not for the former Commission for the Blind Board welcoming
consumer input, the CIC would have solely been a puppet proving ground for
Mr. Cannon's potential puppet candidates for appointment as a MCB
Commissioner, and a rubber-stamp for staff-positive, rather than blind
consumer-positive policy and procedure recommendation. Further, the fact
that the new BS4BP Advisory Commission is chaired by a sighted person, and
there is no NFB representation and influence as part of that advisory body
for consumer input, speaks volumes as the lack of desired and value of blind
consumer input.

Subject: [nfbmi-talk] cic meetings???

Hi,

Someone on the CIC committee was asking me if we have Consumer Involvement
Meetings still??? Does anyone know.
Personally, I don't think so.

Best,
Georgia
