or just want people to know what you do in your career; Linkedin is a great
professional networking site. It has had accessibility challenges in the
past but has made great strides in recent months to fix the accessibility
issues on their web interface. The CAVI Cast offered below will help you
understand basic knowledge of what Linkedin is, how to use their system, and
what you can do with this networking service. Monica is one of the best
teacher's at CAVI and I recommend that anyone not using Linkedin for
professional networking check out this CAVI Cast Sunday evening. And best of
all it's free!

Hi everyone. CAVI staff would like to invite you to our Cavi-Cast about how
to use LinkedIn. It will take place on Sunday, November 17. Read on for
details.

Monica Moen will introduce you to this professional networking site and help
you design your profile. Topics covered include:
An introduction to LinkedIn and why you might want to use it.
How to create a profile on LinkedIn.
How to connect with people you know on LinkedIn.
How and why you should add a photo to your profile.
What are LinkedIn groups and how do you use them?
How to use LinkedIn to get a job.
How networking with CAVI members can help you with future projects and job
opportunities.
What is appropriate content to post on LinkedIn?
What do the upgrades allow, and are they worth buying?

We hope you will join us on Sunday night, November 17, at 8 PM Eastern,
7:00 Central, 6:00 Mountain, and 5:00 Pacific. If you're in Australia, this
will happen on Monday morning, November 18, at 9:00 AM. We will post a
recording for those who aren't able to attend.

The Cavi-cast will take place on Teamtalk using our server located at
tt.cucat.org
