Did all notice by the way in the initial "student intern" posting for ten to 
work at the "State Plate" under BADP that there was no preference or even a 
standard EEO notice for blind or disabled folks?

Shoot if they were going to do that sort of thing which was and is illegal 
to begin with wouldn't one think they BSBP would use it to hire students who 
are blind, albeit in the Lansing area for work experience with actual pay?

As for Jeff what opportunities are for him to have work experience in the 
BEP program for example here in Genesee County?

Given the climate etc. I never would recomend that Jeff would go in to the 
BEP program per se, but it is a job experience, or should be one for Jeff 
and folks like him.

Shoot another place for Jeff to get some unpaid work experience now that I 
think of it is at the "talking book library" here and, indeed since there is 
no full time counselor in the BSBP office nowadays I'm sure they could use 
some help.

My only reticence in having Jeff work or even volunteer with anything in 
BSBP is that he might get a distorted notion of what work skills, and indeed 
a job is.

Jeff could have had some work here in flint with the LIO program helping 
with Braille etc for other blind students but they moved that in the dead of 
night back to Lthe Lansing library which doesn't have required Braile 
signage on every permanent room....

Oh, it's still the "School for the Blind" here in name only along with the 
school for the deaf. Another story for another day though.
