Following is an actual position that exists within a state rehabilitation
agency. This is the type of training of VR staff that President Posont,
Christine Boone, and I have advocated for within the Michigan agency for
services to blind persons.
Imagine the difference in services to blind persons were such training of VR
staff was taken seriously and actually implemented. I still dream of that
day, as NFB dreams never fade or disappear, no matter the barriers,
obstacles, or persons that are placed in Our path to quality services and
opportunity, equality, and security for all blind persons.
