Hi,

This press release is a good example of the direction that I feel would be
more effective for our list. The DOJ did not publish the whole text of the
technical assistance in their release, they simply described it and gave a
means of getting it.This is helpful for people who may want to know
something but don't have time for it at the moment.. We have plenty of
server space for posting documents and links. This approach would work, if
it is something we wish to do.

Warmest Regards,

fred

The Justice Department announced today that it has published two new
technical assistance documents to assist the public in understanding how the
ADA applies to their unique circumstances. "Wheelchairs, Mobility Aids, and
Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices" provides guidance on the Department's
2010 regulations regarding the use of wheelchairs and mobility aids, as well
as other types of less-traditional powered mobility devices. "Effective
Communication" provides guidance on the 2010 regulations provisions relating
to communicating effectively with people who have vision, hearing, or speech
disabilities. Both are part of the Department's "ADA Requirements"
publication series.

To find out more about the ADA, call the Justice Department's toll-free ADA
Information Line at 800-514-0301 or 800-514-0383 (TDD), or access its
ADA.gov website.
