Subject: [nfbmi-talk] hiring the blind in state government?
This lunatic job description speaks for itself and doesn't jive with the
Rehabilitation Act let alone Executive Directive 2014-1. In fact it doesn't
jive with any meaningful notion of reality. For now BSBP/LARA says they have
two franchises in the Vocational Rehabilitation funded so-called, mandated
facility for blind entrepreneurs under PA 260 that doesn't have one blind
employee who gets paid.
And now they are funding another job like this one?
Now how can they claim to be encouraging employment of people within state
government when the lead federally funded Vocational rehabilitation program
for the blind openly and perniciously discriminates against hiring of
persons who are blind in an affirmative program for employment of blind
persons?
Moreover they are double and triple dipping at the Vocational Rehab trough
in the legislative office building made up of the House who passed Public
Act 260 in the first place.
This is ground zero for the Orwellian double-speak and abuse of persons who
are blind and otherwise disabled and is only the tip of the iceberg of the
blatant misappropriation of taxpayer funds to engage in the exact opposite
of what BSBP is supposed to be doing.
