Supplemental Questions

Under close supervision, assist the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) staff to complete and report on various activities identified in the State
Energy Program plan. These activities may require the student to respond to routine information requests, maintain databases, draft reports for the management
team, organize workshops and materials for customers, contractors, and consultants and assist with grant administration and web site updates. In addition,
a portion of the student’s time may be allocated to support other similar energy programs and activities.

Background in energy efficiency or environmental education is helpful. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to prepare and present
information effectively. Demonstrated research and analysis skills are essential. Computer experience should include an excellent working knowledge of
Microsoft programs such as Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook. Web site design knowledge is helpful.

Preferred Majors - Natural Resource Management; Biosystems Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics; Environmental
Studies & Agriscience; Environmental Economics & Policy; Forestry; Sustainable Systems, other biological science, or related field.

Required Education and Experience:

Education
Current enrollment in a vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution.
Experience
No specific type or amount is required.  Experience in preparing correspondence, technical reports, and/or other publications is preferred.  A background
in energy efficiency or environmental education is helpful.

 Additional Requirements and Information:

The student must provide evidence of enrollment or acceptance to an educational institution.
