I am sorry I didn't see this post earlier.  First, welcome to the
list, Heather.  I hope the organization will be helpful to you and
your son.

Meetings of the NFB Detroit Chapter are usually held every 2nd
Saturday.  Because of the state convention in Flint, this month's
meeting will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2014.  The location is
the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) 261 Mack Avenue in
Detroit.  The meeting time 1 to 3 Pm.

Again welcome to the list.  Feel free to ask questions.
