Dear Michigan Federationists:
The Senate has proclaimed October 16 as Abraham Nemeth Day. A
proclamation to this effect was put on the list serve a few days ago.
As a result, we will have an educational outreach in the rotunda of
the Capitol on Wednesday, October 22, from 12:00 to 1:00 in the
afternoon. Individuals will talk about Braille and about Abraham
Nemeth and how the Nemeth code makes it possible for blind individuals
to pursue Stem careers. There will be a half hour before and after the
event for set up and take down. The new logo will be present and other
material and Literature from the national office. Please let me know
if you are able to attend and participate. Contact me at State
Convention or call me at (313)727-3546.
Sincerely,
Larry Posont
