with all the excitement surrounding our Sensational Adventures in Summer Science I almost forgot to let everyone know that tomorrow, August 8 we will be holding Birding by Ear and Beyond. At 10a m we will meet at the Environmental Interpretive Center at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Birst we will check out the activity in our newly dedicated Matt Clew Butterfly Garden. Hopefully, we will find evidence of the life cycles of species of Michigan butterflies. Then we will head into the natural area to hear what birds still have something to sing about. In particular we will be listening for the Ruby throated hummingbird as it may be collecting nector from the Jewel Weed. This is part of a Citizen Science project through Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Please consider joining us and look for upcoming announcements about Sensational Adventures in September Science and our trip to the Lake Erie Hawk Fest.
