Who: High school and college students, or anyone looking for job skills

Come join the Michigan Association of Blind Students for a jam-packed weekend that is all about employment and your success. At the DOES seminar you will gain:

Tips on building and writing a resume
Techniques on interviewing, including mock interviews
Insights from employers on what traits and skills they are looking for in new hires
tips on nonverbal communication skills
Ideas on when to disclose your disability to employers
Methods for requesting technology  and reasonable accommodations in the workplace
Mentorship from successful blind adults
Skills and etiquette to navigate a business lunch
Tips and resources for advocating for yourself and others

Registration for the weekend is priced at $250. Financial assistance is available to bring the cost down to $25.
