UPDATE: 1:20 p.m. – 6 News has confirmed that 31-year-old Charles Glime, the man who died of his injuries after being struck by a car Tuesday night, was blind. Glime was an employee at a kiosk in the Lewis Cass building. 6 News has been told that Glime had been with friends celebrating St. Patrick’s Day prior to the accident. UPDATE: 11:35 a.m. – Lansing Police have identified the man who was struck by a car Tuesday and died of his injuries Wednesday. 31-year-old Charles Glime of Lansing was struck in the area of Walnut and Ionia Streets. The investigation is continuing and 6 News will have updates online and on 6 News when they are available.UPDATE: Thursday 10:15 a.m. – Lansing Police have confirmed to 6 News that the pedestrian hit by a Jeep in downtown Lansing Tuesday night has died of his injuries.LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Lansing Police are looking into what lead to a 31-year-old man getting hit by a jeep downtown Tuesday night.We’re told the man was walking near the intersection of Ionia and Walnut when the driver hit him.The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.Police say a woman was driving the Jeep.Investigators are trying to figure out if the 31-year-old victim was walking at the crosswalk or a different part of the street at the time of the accident.If you have any information, call Lansing Police at 517-483-4600.
