Subject: [nfbmi-talk] January Meeting of the NFBMI Human Services Division
Good Evening Everyone,
I hope you had a holiday season filled with love, peace joy and meaningful
time with friends and family..
The January meeting of the Human Services Division of the National
Federation of the Blind of Michigan will be held via conference call on
Tuesday, January 3 at 7:00 in the evening. The call in number is
605-475-4333 then access code 902855 pound.
The agenda will include current happenings impacting the division in
Michigan, national happenings, and a look ahead to the coming year.
Any blind human service professional-social worker, psychologist,
sociologist, music, massage, occupational, speech, art, and other
therapists, counselors, child care workers, life coaches, etc. are
encouraged to join us. Students or others interested in pursuing careers in
human services and consumers having difficulties with human service issues
or organizations are also welcome. If you aren't sure if our division is
right for you, please join the call before coming to a decision.
Mary Ann Robinson, President
The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic
that defines us or our future. Every day we raise the expectations of
blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people
and our dreams. We can have the life we want; blindness is not what holds us
back.
