Good Morning All,

Saturday, November 18 the BTBL Computer Club meets for our annual holiday
shopping spree. We welcome back the very popular J. J. Meddaugh of A T Guys
with his sack of tech toys and goodies on his back. Looking for a holiday
gift for someone or maybe just yourself, come join us to see what's in that
bag of goodies.

Computer Club meets from 10:30-12:30 in the BTBL public service area on the
first floor of the Library of Michigan across from the elevators.

If you're interested in staying for lunch from 12:30-1:30 we order out from
one of the local sub shops.

One hour after the BTBL Computer Club ends the BTBL Book Club meets from
1:30-3:00. We meet in the BTBL public service area located on the first
floor of the Library of Michigan across from the elevators.

The November 18 Book Club is DB47795 A hope in the unseen: an American
odyssey from the inner city to the ivy league by Ron Susskind.

The author follows Cedric Jennings, an African American teenager, from a
blighted environment in Washington D.C., to Brown University. Although in
the top of his high school class, Cedric at first has neither the
educational background nor the social experience to meet the demands of the
Ivy League college. Some strong language. 1998

December's book selection is DB81419 Flight of the sparrow: a novel of early
America by Amy B Brown.

Massachusetts, 1670s. Mary Rowlandson is captured and enslaved by a local
tribe when they attack her town. Her time with them makes her question her
faith and the Puritan way of life. When she returns to English society she
writes a book of her experiences. Violence. 2014.

If you are unable to join us in Lansing you can join us by calling in by
phone. The call-in number is 1-888-278-0296 and the access code is 5836578.

If you have further questions contact Scott Norris at the information listed
below between 7:30-5:00 Monday-Thursday and 7:30-11:30 Friday.

See you at the computer and book club,

Scott
