Hello.

While it is possible that the convention hotel will have rooms at the 
group rate closer to convention, we are currently guaranteed our room 
block through October 8. If you are considering coming to convention, 
please reserve your room as soon as possible. We will do everything we 
can to extend the block but as typically happens, hotels release rooms 
as it gets closer to the convention and I would hate for someone to miss 
out on a room.

The hotel assures me that your credit card will not be charged ahead of 
time and you are free to cancel your room without penalty up to the day 
before your reservation.
