Hello to all on this list.

The following was forwarded to me by Fred Wurtzel from some email exchanges with Donna Rose. He passes on the following.

Michael Powell

President

National Federation of the Blind of Michigan

Please distribute this widely among the blindness community. It is important for lots of folks to come and show there is interest in accessible voting. The new Dominion voting machines in Ingham County are not accessible. Our right to a secret ballot is very important.

Thank you.

Warmest Regards,

Fred

Subject: 3/12 Meeting Information

Donna,

Thank you for taking the time to talk with my yesterday. I wanted to follow up with more details about the meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 12, from 1:00-3:00 pm.

It will be in room 404 of the Capitol Building.

All 3 of the voting machines will be there. The hope is to have an open discussion addressing the concerns you and others have brought forth and have the department lay out their steps to correct these issues.

For those who need information regarding parking:

There are a number of parking spots on the street on Capitol Ave, Michigan Ave, and Townsend St. These spots do have an hour maximum which can be put in the meter at one time.

There is a parking ramp on Townsend St as well with entrances both on Townsend and Shiawasee. The ramp might work better as the meeting will last longer than an hour.

Once inside the front entrance to the Capitol, there is an elevator across from the State Police desk. Take this elevator to the fourth floor and room 404 will be across the hall to the right. I am not certain of the setup of the machines, so there is a chance they will be in the lobby on the fourth floor which you will come to when stepping out of the elevator.

If you or anyone has any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you

Matt Black
