hey Friends!

Yes, we are closer to connecting with each other at our virtual state convention. On Saturday evening, our four fundraising teams for Project R. E. C. will finally be able to report to the affiliate all that they've done to support our future endeavors in creating sports and recreation opportunities for Michigan's blind. Here are the standings so far:

Project R.E.C. Current Total Raised: $800

  1. The Chunky Chargers - Robert Parsons ($665 Raised)
  2. The Navigators - KaShonia Graham ($75 Raised)
  3. The Marauders - Mike Powell ($50 Raised)
  4. The Sparks - Jennifer Kennedy ($10 Raised)

Remember, it isn't too late to register. Click the link below to read about how you can get involved by pledging a donation. A pledge is $5 each, you can pledge as many times as you'd like, and to whichever teams you'd like. Finally, our fundraiser has officially surpassed the $500 threshold, meaning that we can now award the gourmet chocolate dipped strawberries to the donor that helped get past that amount. Competition is still fierce and the battle is on to find out who will win the coveted smart television grand prize. Our affiliate has received three additional prizes donated for certain benchmarks in participation for the fundraiser, meaning members and guests are able to win a prize just for entering your name in the game. As a reminder, here are the current prize giveaways:

  1. Visio 55-inch Television (Awarded to the Donor with the highest pledge donation)
  2. Gourmet Chocolate Cheesecake (Awarded to the Team Owner that Raises the Most Money)
  3. Echo Dot Speaker (Awarded to the Donor Whose Pledge Brings the Fundraiser Total Past $100) (Winner: Donna Posont)
  4. Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Strawberries (Awarded to the Donor Whose Pledge Brings the Fundraiser Total Past $500) (Winner: Tyler Zahnke)
  5. Google Nest Speaker (Awarded to the Donor Whose Pledge Brings the Fundraising Total Past $1000)
