Happy Blind Equality Achievement Month Federation Family!

 

It is so exciting to be back here in October with you all. As we step into
convention season, with our football games on and pumpkin spice wafting in
the air, let's all remember the importance of the month of October for blind
people. Blind Equality Achievement Month is an opportunity for our members
to discuss and promote the inherent power that blind people must not only
decide what is best for them, but to compete on equal footing when provided
an equitable shot at success. Some of this success is exemplified every day
in the work we do in advocacy, education, community awareness and social
networking. This year, the NFB of Michigan is happy to present our "White
Cane Winners" virtual auction, which is hosted on the 32Auctions platform.
With the coordination of the state fundraising committee and the dedication
of our membership, we are excited to offer some exciting items this year,
including:

*	Amazon Fire SMART Television with Voice Assist
*	Victor Reader Stream (3rd Generation)
*	Apple Air Pods
*	Fresh Baked Desserts

 

Our White Cane Winners auction runs through the entire month of October, and
all are welcomed to bid and compete for the items offered. Items will be
shipped to you at the conclusion of our fundraiser, which will be at our
annual state convention banquet on November 11, 2023, at 8pm. We are
grateful for our members, donors and supporters of our annual fundraising
work that helps us continue to build the Federation.
