The National Federation of the Blind’s Detroit Chapter Presents Tandem Bike
Riding Day for the Blind 2-Seater Fun In The Sun Let’s Ride!!!

• Join us as we cruise downtown Detroit’s beautiful Riverwalk
and Dequindre Cut riding on tandem bicycles built for two.

• It takes place Saturday August 24th from noon-3 PM at the
Wheelhouse Detroit Bike Shop located at 1340 Atwater St, the corner of
Atwater and Rivard, right at the Riverwalk.

• Come and experience the ultimate combination of nature,
exercise, friendship, and pure fun.

• Blind newcomers to veteran bike riders, all will ride and
enjoy.

• The cost to participate in this event is $15, “which must be
prepaid” by August 19th in one of the following ways: in-person at the
August 17th Detroit Chapter NFB Meeting (11000 West McNichols 1:00-3:30 PM),
in-person at Eye Learn (same address Mon-Thurs 10:00 AM-2:00 PM), or via
Cash App to $detroitnfb, writing the names of each individual that you are
paying for in the memo.

• We still need a few people to register to become sighted bike
driver volunteers, free of charge for this event. To register, send us a
text or leave a voice-mail on the NFB’s Google Voice line at 313-723-0632,
confirming your name, phone number, email, and desire to volunteer.

• All participants will need to sign a waiver and dress
comfortably.

• We will provide free light refreshments, and the adjacent
Classics Café will be open serving burgers, coney dogs, salads, sandwiches,
and more.

• Don’t you dare miss this. Blind people riding bikes through
downtown Detroit; it’s going to be off the chain, the rack, and all that!
