March Maple Magic

What a sweet time you will have if you join us on March 9 for Birding by Ear
and Beyond. If you visit the Environmental Interpretive Center, 4901
Evergreen Road in Dearborn, you will have the  opportunity to experience all
that is involved in tapping the maple trees and enjoying the end product of
maple syrup. As a bonus there will be many noisy songbirds near the stove of
cooking syrup which smells delicious. Some birds will have returned from the
south while others have survived the winter in the natural area and are
singing their way into mating, nesting and hatching the next generation of
their species. We will meet at nine in Room 118. The program will end at
noon, but, you may stay longer to participate in a STEAM project.
