[NFBMI-Talk] Democracy Live Electronic Voting Presentation

Good afternoon,


Democracy Live is putting on a presentation over Zoom this Thursday,
July 18, at 7:00 PM Eastern time, 4:00 Pacific time. This presentation
will give information on the electronic ballot delivery process, along
with other general information about accessible absentee voting. With
this year's election coming up, many individuals may want to have their
voices heard. Melissa Carney, an Educational Outreach Consultant at
Democracy Live, will give individuals the chance to hear how an
electronic ballot can be marked online using a web browser using a
screen reader. This could really help those who have had problems with
the voting machines at the polls. This also can help with the privacy
aspect, since someone wouldn't necessarily need to be standing by the
person who is casting their ballot.
