Happy Saturday Federation Family and Friends,

 

I hope this wonderful morning finds you all warm and dry. As many of us may
be surrounded by family, friends or loved ones, I hope to excite you all
with the news that we are less than three hours from the moment we have been
preparing for. The NFB of Michigan fundraising committee presents, "The 2024
Kernel Kraze."

What is the Kernel Kraze? The Kernel Kraze is a Double Good virtual popcorn
fundraiser that begins this afternoon, March 30 at 12pm and concludes on
April 3 at 12pm. During this time, we encourage all of our members to share
their chapter or division's store link, which has menu options for people to
choose different popcorn options to buy and have shipped to them. You as
members have a  chance to support your chapter/division in their effort to
raise funds for convention while also spreading the word about what
convention does for the members of our organization. Convention, being the
largest gathering of blind people in the nation each year, strengthens
familial bonds, informs communities and affords potential for advocacy for
the blind by blind people at a large scale. This fundraiser helps us support
our members to witness this first-hand. Please contact your chapter or
division store coordinator to help share your link and promote this
fundraiser. Success has been found with sharing your store's link with
coworkers, family , friends, social media, and blogs. Some chapters and
divisions also have their own email lists, which they are encouraged to
share their store links to. As the At Large chapter is a state chapter, I
have included their link in the store list below for their members.
