Good Evening Michigan Federationists!
Are you a client of the Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (BSBP)? Are you
interested in learning how you can become a customer to maximize your
potential or improve your connections with the agency? The National
Federation of the Blind of Michigan serves as one of the member
organizations of BSBP's Consumer Involvement Committee (CIC), which meets
quarterly to elevate the concerns and questions its members have to BSBP
leadership. If you are a customer of BSBP, whether you are a Pre-Employment
Transition Services (Pre-ETS), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) or Independent
Living (IL) customer; we invite you to our NFBMI Sound Board to discuss
these items; where a board member can assist with listening to and working
through some of these items. As the chair of the committee, I am happy to
help with interpreting some of the existing policies that the agency
operates under and bring back some consistent themes or questions our
members have for the agency at our next committee meeting. Please use the
link below to join us at 8pm, where we can use our voices to build a strong
bridge with BSBP to help blind Michiganders live the lives we want.
