Good Evening Federationists!

It's exciting to be on the east side of the state again. With so much going
on this weekend in our affiliate, I wanted to tap in to provide some updates
for our members that will be participating in the Detroit Tigers event with
us on Sunday afternoon. If you are an active member that informed your
chapter or division president that you wanted to participate in "Tapping
with the Tigers" before the deadline, then please locate the electronic
ticket that was forwarded to your email inbox. After following the
directions and downloading the MLB Ballpark app on your smart phone, you
will be able to access your electronic ticket to show at the gate in
Comerica Park. Some quick tips:

*	When creating your MLB Ballpark account, it would be best to use the
email address you originally received the forwarded electronic ticket from
so that the app can locate your online ticket easily.
*	First pitch is at 3:05pm on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Gates to
Comerica Park will open around 1:30pm.
*	As this is a wild card game with a lot of weight, traffic is
expected to be heavy in and around downtown Detroit on Sunday. All attendees
are encouraged to arrive to Comerica Park early in order to ensure time for
check-in and other necessities.
*	Members of the NFB of Michigan will be gathering for an early lunch
and light appetizers at Harry's Detroit Bar and Grill at 11am. This bar and
grill offers parking and free shuttle options to and from Comerica Park for
patrons. There are no reservations on game day, so it is first-come,
first-serve. This is a great option for members who are arriving via car. I
have included the link for the restaurant below.
*	If you are interested in attending the lunch and appetizers outing
at Harry's Detroit Bar and Grill, please inform me no later than 9pm
tomorrow evening. The restaurant informed us that they will not hold spots
on game days for patrons, so a final count will be made at this time.
*	The communications committee will be partnering with our affiliate
to host a virtual help desk tomorrow evening at 8pm on our state Zoom line.
The purpose of this meeting will be to provide support for attendees having
challenges locating their electronic ticket.

I look forward to connecting with all of you either tomorrow afternoon at
our New Wayne County chapter meeting at 1pm in Dearborn or in Detroit on
Sunday afternoon as we cheer the Tigers to victory. Let's go build the
Federation!
