Hey Federation Friends,

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and thinking about what shenanigans
we have in store for the Fall. We are officially in state convention season
here in Michigan and some of our members are excited to hear that "Brain
Games," our accessible convention game show experience, is returning for our
2025 state convention in Auburn Hills.

What are Brain Games?

Brain games is a live, in-person game show experience that the NFB of
Michigan hosted for the first time at our 2024 state convention. It began
during 2023 via Zoom and was inspired by the work of the Michigan
Association of Blind Students during the pandemic.

What games do we play?

Each year, Brain Games does a live take on our favorite game shows. During
the 2024 state convention, Federation Jeopardy was very popular and a WMU
student volunteer walked away with the prize of an Uber gift card. This
year, Brain Games will feature Federation Family Feud, an adaptation to
America's favorite teamwork-based game show. Show us your team's close bonds
and brains by joining the experience, which begins sooner than you think.

What are the Rules?

Federation Family Feud's gameplay will be like the actual gameshow. This
activity will be a tournament of champions edition, which means that
multiple teams will be competing in a bracket to claim the strongest team in
the Michigan affiliate. Here are some essential items to remember:

*	The tournament will begin in October 2025, prior to convention.
*	Qualifying matches will take place via Zoom during the month of
October.
*	Qualifying matches will be elimination-style; meaning if a team
loses, they are dropped from the tournament.

Who can compete?

Brain Games is open to all members of active chapters and divisions within
the NFB of Michigan. Brain Games is also open to members at large in our
affiliate that are not currently a member of an active chapter or division.
Interested participants must:

*	Plan to attend the 2025 NFBMI state convention.
*	Be available to participating in the qualifying matches via Zoom.
*	Work with their team to submit their admission fee for the activity.

How do I participate?

Brain Games requires teams to register for Federation Family Feud. A team
consist of five people that are found eligible given the requirements
outlined above. Your team of five must pay the registration fee no later
than September 15, 2025. Admission is $10 per person ($50 per team) and can
be sent to the National Federation of the Blind of Michigan using the
donation link below.

Potential Prizes

Following the qualifying matches for Brain Games via Zoom, the top teams
will advance to the championship round. The championship experience will
take place at state convention on Friday, October 31, 2025; and will include
door prizes for those who are attending in the audience. During the matches,
members will be notified of their prize if they are chosen. Participants in
Federation Family Feud will be competing for a comprehensive Dearborn
Package, which includes:

*	Five tickets to a Detroit Red Wings Game
*	Dinner for Five.
*	Hotel accommodations.
*	$200 cash.

If you are interested in signing up for Brain Games this year and joining
the fun, please send an email of interest to Atherjammoa at gmail.com
<mailto:Atherjammoa at gmail.com> . In the email include the name of your team,
its members and confirmation of your donation. Teams are only considered
officially part of Brain Games after confirmation. We look forward to having
a great time this year and wish you all luck in this competition.

With Love, Hope and Determination.

Robert
