Good morning and Happy Friday Federation Family,
I am so excited to kick off our new year with a strong start. It's a fact
that we are known for our programs. From our annual scholarship program that
supports blind students in their academic journey to the NFBMI REAL program
and various assistance programs that support youth and families in different
ways, accessing their goals; we are enthusiastic in our approach to
exercising our Federation philosophy in our daily lives. A key to this
success is in effective fundraising ideas to help blind people. January's
state fundraising committee meeting, which takes place this evening at 6pm
via Zoom, will surround our Quarter One state fundraiser, the NFBMI Capital
Crossing. This brief meeting will be helpful to describe the fundraiser,
answer questions members have about how you can get involved or support and
learn how you can join the NFBMI state fundraising committee.
The NFBMI fundraising committee functions as a state committee, working to
support the programs of the state affiliate. The se programs help to fund
the programs of the affiliate; including our state convention, various
assistance programs and other state activities. For these reasons, it would
benefit the committee to have diverse voices within it. I would love for at
least one member of each active chapter or division to join us each month to
add ideas or support our efforts as we continue to develop exciting and
innovative fundraisers that support our programs. I have included our Zoom
link below and look forward to connecting with everyone tonight.
