[NFBMI-Talk] Great Backyard Bird Count.Hopefully, you are making plans to join us for the Great Backyard Bird Count in just three weeks. However, there is only one week left to register by February 1 as space is limited and we must purchase grub.

               2025 Great Backyard Bird Count

 

We will be counting birds in a new habitat this year. The weekend of
February 14-17, 2025 will be spent at River Hawk Lodge on Proud Lake
inCommerce Township. We are required to count birds for fifteen minutes per
day, but, even more than that we are required to have tons of fun during the
weekend. This will include fabulous food, fantastic fellowship, frolicking
in the flurries, and fishing furiously through the ice. We will also learn
more about woodpeckers and owls, dissect owl pellets, make bird suet,eat
like birds, and play the ever popular Birdbrain Jeopardy. If that is not
enough to make you want to spend a winter weekend with us, there will be
lots of time for fun and games inside and outside. Cost to attend is $20 per
individual and $25 per families. This includes eight meals and three nights
