MICHIGAN STATEWIDE INDEPENDENT LIVING COUNCIL 

DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, MICHIGAN REHABILITATION SERVICES 

DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING AND REGULATORY AFFAIRS, BUREAU OF SERVICES 
FOR BLIND PERSONS 

MICHIGAN STATE PLAN FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING AMENDMENT NOTICE OF PUBLIC 
MEETING NOVEMBER 2ND, 2012 11:00 a.m. ? 1:00 p.m. 

The Michigan Statewide Independent Living Council (?SILC?) , Michigan Rehabilitation Services (?MRS?) 
and Bureau of Services for Blind Persons (?BSBP?) will hold a public meeting at the location, as set forth 
below, to receive comments on proposed amendments to the FY 2011-2013 State Plan for Independent 
Living (?SPIL?). The proposed State Plan Amendments implement provisions of Executive Orders: #2007-49 
(Amendment) & #2012-10 and will be submitted for final approval to the United States Department of 
Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration. 

The public meeting will be held as follows: 

Date: November 2nd 2012 
Time: 11:00 a.m. ? 1.p.m.

The Proposed State Plan Amendments will be posted on the SILC website at www.misilc.org [1] prior to the 
public hearing. Executive Order #2007-49 & 2012-10 are posted on Governors Snyder?s website at 

www.michigan.gov

Written comments on the Proposed State Plan Amendments may be submitted by email message with ?SPIL 
comments? in the subject line, to Rodney Craig. Rodney@misilc.org [3]. Written comments may also be 
submitted in person at the public meeting or mailed to:

All written comments, including e-mail on the Proposed State Plan Amendment must be received no later than 

5:00 p.m. Tuesday November 6th, 2012. The meeting site is accessible. Individuals attending the meetings 
are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products in order to enhance accessibility 
for everyone. 
Persons with disabilities requiring additional accommodations (such as materials in alternative format), or 
language interpreter in order to participate in the meeting or submit comments must call 888-808-7452 by
