Though football season is upon us, baseball is still in full swing,

and the Federation seems to have a tremendous touch of Tiger tenacity. So

much so, that the Detroit Tigers recognized the National Federation of the

Blind of Michigan and invited our affiliate to spend a day supporting our

MLB treasure as they play the Chicago White Sox at home! As our affiliate received this donation

and our state board understands the love of the Tigers stretches across

Michigan, I encourage active members to contact their chapter or division

president if they are interested in attending this event before September 15

to be considered. The Tapping with the Tigers activity is both a social

event and an awareness activity that serves as a great way to prepare our

affiliate and the public for Blind Equality Achievement Month (BEAM), so

please submit serious inquiries to your chapter or division president if you

believe you are comfortable meeting the expectation of being a Federation

ambassador.
