[NFBMN-News] BLIND, Inc. Board Meeting Next Tuesday at 6pm

Good evening Minnesota members,



As reported on Saturday, the next meeting of the BLIND, Inc. Board of
Directors will be held by Zoom on Tuesday, August 20 at 6pm. These meetings
will be held on the third Tuesday of even-numbered months going forward.



Executive Director Briley O’Connor informed the affiliate that one of the
items up for discussion at the meeting will be changing the organization’s
name from BLIND, Inc. to the Minnesota Center for the Blind. This is the
result of considerable discussion and research, including by external
consultants Mission Minded <https://mission-minded.com/>. The NFB used this
same agency for our rebrand a few years back when we introduced the “live
the life you want” tagline.



Board Chairperson Carla McQuillan also informed me that the following
topics are also on the agenda:



   - Joint Ventures Steering Committee Members and Next Meeting
   - Resolution for Authorized individuals to be added to financial accounts
   - Executive Director’s Report
   - Board Retreat
   - Upcoming Board Meetings
