Dear Federationists:

 

We have sent out some stuff concerning our upcoming popcorn fund-raiser.
Unfortunately, it has been a little confusing for some people, so below I
will lay out what exactly is going on.

 

As you probably know, the At-Large Chapter of the NFB of Minnesota is
conducting a popcorn fund-raiser. We are using the Double Good Company. The
way it works is that we set up a so-called "popup store," where members and
supporters can buy different flavors of popcorn. The event runs for a
defined time, in our instance it is this Sunday August 30, starting at 5:00
p.m. It ends at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday September 3.  You can not buy popcorn
yet, you have to wait until Sunday at 5:00 p.m. or after. We will send out
the proper link, to purchase goodies, when we get it from Double Good. There
will be a link where you can see what is available, and order what tickles
your fancy. We get 50 percent of the dollar amount we sell. Double Good
handles the orders, sends out the popcorn directly to you, and sends us a
check at the end. It is simple and delicious.

 

The fund-raiser is being managed by Chris Murphy for us. He has set up one
popup store, which is where most people will buy their popcorn. If you wish,
you can set up your own popup store, and solicit your friends, relatives,
and colleagues to purchase popcorn. This gives you a way to track your
results, but you don't have to do this. The last time we did this, we only
had one store. 

 

If you want to set up your own popup store, on behalf of the Chapter the
code is Event Code

To use the code you must download the Double Good app from the Apple App
Store, or the Android Play Store. You run the app, and fill in the code, and
it will create a popup store for you.

 

As I said you don't need to do this, you can use the main popup store that
Chris has already created. If you want to set up your own Popup Store,
search your app store. I searched for double good popcorn, and it found the
Double Good Fund-Raising app.
