Let The Bus staff plan your trip ahead of time. Call (417) 831-8782 and let us plan the ride that will help you most effectively use The Bus system. Should you have any questions while riding The Bus, ask your driver. The driver will be glad to help.
OPERATING HOURS DAILY ROUTE SERVICE Monday through Saturday: 6 a.m. to 6:35 p.m.
MODIFIED ROUTE SERVICE
Nights: 6:10 p.m. to 11:10 p.m.
Sundays: 7:10 a.m. to 11:10 p.m.
Major Holidays: 8:10 a.m. to 6:10 p.m.
HOW TO BE AN ALL AROUND RIDER:
Here are just a few simple rules of courtesy that'll make everyone's ride more pleasant:
1.. Arrive at the bus stop five minutes early. Although the drivers make an effort to operate on schedule, errors can occur.
2.. Have the exact change or your discount card ready when you board the bus. This speeds the boarding process and helps keep the bus on schedule.
3.. If you'll need to transfer, be sure to ask for a transfer slip as you board. The fee for transfers is 10 cents.
4.. We ask that you do NOT smoke on the bus. A city ordinance prohibits it.
5.. Please leave your animals at home. Only service animals are allowed on the bus.
6.. Please do not eat or drink on the bus.
7.. About one-half block before your destination, let your driver know by pulling the signal cord.

Purchase Discount Passes and ticket books at the following locations:
1.. City Utilities General Offices, 301 East Central - 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. - Accepts debit & credit cards.
2.. City Utilities - Transit Office, 1505 N. Boonville - 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. - Accepts cash, checks, or money orders.
3.. OTC - Cashiers - Semester and adult daily passes only.
4.. Missouri State University's Bursar's Office in Carrington Hall - Semester passes only.
5.. By mail, send check or money order, payable to City Utilities (no cash, please) to:

Please include name, address, and category of pass requested. The Discount Pass is nontransferable and non-redeemable. Information on the bus routes is available in Braille, Large Print, and Spanish upon request.

HOW TO IDENTIFY YOUR BUS AND BUS STOPS
Your bus can be identified by its route-line number located on the outside of The Bus, above the front windshield and next to the front door. The panel containing this number also indicates The Bus destination.
The Bus signs are located at major stops throughout the city. Generally, you can count on The Bus stopping approximately every two blocks, but you should call 831-8782 to verify exact stopping locations.
Wait for The Bus at the designated Bus Stop areas. This is an important safety factor, and helps to keep from delaying other traffic while your bus is loading, as well as helping to alert the driver that you want to board. Drivers are not allowed to stop outside of the designated bus stop area.
