Our good friend Bill Neal is going through  a terrible time with his health.
For several weeks he has extraordinary pain in his shoulder  and elsewhere. At one point it was diagnosed as gout but finally last they concluded he had a very aggressive Staff infection in the shoulder.
He was ordered to spend four hours a day at the hospital for IV treatment  starting last Friday. This was expanded  to an additional two hours in the evening on Monday.
When I spoke to Florence today she told me that  the doctors  have now concluded that the infection had started at his heart and spread from there  up to his shoulder and down his arm. The aggressive treatment will continue with possibly a home health nurse. 
Bill is still in a lot of pain but the drugs may have started to work. The other bad news is the infection in his shoulder and arm may have been severe enough that Bill will have to have surgery before he can use left arm again.
Please keep Bill and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
