Florence Neal, 1940-2010         Thursday, July 22, 2010             Florence Neal, 69, of Columbia passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010, in Granite City, Ill. Neal     Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday also at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Cemetery. Florence was born on Sept. 29, 1940, in Poplar Bluff, the daughter of the late Carl and Madeleine Morgan Johnson. She was united in marriage with Bill Neal on June 8, 1968. Survivors include her husband of 42 years; three children, Carla Mehr of Columbia, Thracie Burns of Livonia and Sam Neal of Jefferson City; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and another great-grandchild on the way. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Johnson; granddaughter, Ginger Renee Neal. Memorial contributions can be made to Bill Neal.
